India to Become Drone Technology Hub: 1 Lakh Drone Pilots Needed by 2023 for Booming Industry

Approximately 120 farmers are eager to become drone pilots for enhancing their crop management. They have applied to the government's agriculture engineering directorate for permission to use drones. The department is currently reviewing these applications, particularly to see if any of the farmers already hold a drone license from the DGCA. Those with existing licenses will be approved for immediate take off.
